Wow what a Ladies Time Trial. I think this is the biggest attendance at any Ladies Time Trial that I have seen. We had 152 ladies attend. A huge thanks to Susan who organized it. Also a big thanks to her team who worked efficiently on the night to make it such a success. Also a big thank you to the Hillcrest Athletic Club who allowed Highway to use their club facilities and to Michelle for helping with the organizing on the night especially with the Marshalls.
To all our ladies who supplied the gifts for the lucky draw a big thank you. Aquelle again supplied the flavoured water which went down well with the runners and walkers after the race. A big thank you to them. Thank you to Clive Jelf from New Look Projects for paying for eats at the Highway table, they were enjoyed by the runners and walkers.
To the men from the Highway club and Hillcrest club who acted as Marshalls thanks and it was really appreciated. The shoe voucher was again donated by New Balance shoes and thanks to Jarred for this. The ladies get really excited when they win this prize.
Remember the AGM is Saturday 28th October 2017 at 8.30 a.m. at Weaver’s Nest, Highbury Preparatory School, Highbury Road, Hillcrest. Also remember to fill in the nomination form that Margie sent out with the notification if you have someone in mind for a position on the committee and get it back to Margie as soon as possible.
The next Ladies Time Trial will be held on Tuesday 03 October 2017 at the Kearsney Athletic Club at 18:00. Ladies let us make it a huge turnout for Highway so we can retain the first place on the walker’s league and also improve our positions on the other leagues.
Regards Brian Stewart
