Well it is just under a month to our AGM that will be held on the 22nd October 2016 at Thomas More School. As usual there will be a walk before the AGM from the school. Times will be notified.
Margie sent out the details for the AGM with the nomination form for you to nominate new office bearers if you so feel.
As the year winds down there are only two more Ladies Time Trials left, with the next one being at Chiltern Athletic Club on the 6th October 2016.
It was encouraging to have so many attend the Kearsney Striders Time Trial with a number of our new lady members attending. We are looking for the same again at Chiltern with a few more attending. This gives us more points for the league.
The committee is looking for someone to take charge of the Gazebo so it can be erected at more races giving our athletes a place to meet before and after the race. If anyone is willing to handle this please contact one of the committee members and we will get the gazebo and chairs to you. For now the next race the gazebo will be erected at is the Westville Illovo Christmas Race in December.
Regards Brian Stewart

Message from ex-Coach Pauline Appleton in the UK:
“Hello my Captain,
I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that it's a real pleasure to receive the Highway newsletter, thank you Margie for all your hard work.
It's great to catch up on the latest news and to see the race results, well done to everyone that took part. And a special well done to the Highway ladies TT, keep up the good work, you deserve to be at the top of the league!
Compliments on the new t-shirts they look great (I still run in my Highway AC t-shirt, and am proud to do so).
I see that the paparazzi snook a couple of pictures to you of Helen in the UK. It was fantastic meeting up with her, Hollie and family, as you could see we had a fantastic time.
Bye for now, Pauline X
Still miss my special friends so much!”
ED: And we all still miss you Coachie! Training hasn’t been the same since you left. They have even cancelled the Dolphin 50 seeing we have no-one to train us.
Latest news from the Toti AC website regarding the Sapphire Coast Marathon, which this year will start at Hutchinson Park:
The race will take place and the 21km will go out to Illovo and back and the 42km will go out to Ilfracombe and back to Hutchison Park.
Message to all ladies taking part in the Time Trials: Please fill in your tags as you would for a race, ie. your full name and the word Highway for the club. This will ensure that your individual results are recorded for publishing in the newsletter and on our website.
